A Guide to Austin Bottle Shops

Bottle Shops:

Whichcraft [Mueller, Austin] - Only true bottle shop in Austin, has 30ish taps of beer as well.

The Brewtique [Cedar Park] - Featuring grab and go mix and match six-packs; packaged goods only, but can be consumed on site.

Bastrop Beer Company [Bastrop] - Large selection in a large taproom.

OffRhodes Craft Beer Station [New Braunfels] - Similar to Whichcraft, but more South.

Neighborhood Bottle Shoppe [Taylor] - Quaint store in downtown Taylor with great selection.

Dear Dry Drinkery [Austin, E Caesar Chavez] - Non-Alcoholic bottle shop, one of the only of its kind in the country.

Convenience Stores (Worth Visiting):

Sunrise Minimart [Austin, Crestview] - Popular gas station bottle shop on the north side.

Cork & Brew Market [Austin, S Congress] - Newer shop with small but strong selection.

Beer Geek [Manchaca] - Large store with large selection, and taps for on site pours or growler fills.  Check the can dates.

East 1st Grocery [Austin, E Caesar Chavez] - East of downtown, a solid selection, but check the dates.

Southwest Parkway Market [Austin, Sunset Valley] - Large selection of Belgian-style and rare beers.  Again, check the dates (though the bombers might be better with age).

High Country Market [Round Rock] - Part bottle shop, part bistro in Round Rock.

Grocery Stores:

Whole Foods - Downtown location is convenient if you are staying downtown, but the Domain location is the best with a 40-tap beer bar in it.

Central Market - Like Whole Foods, but they always have a wide selection of beer.

The rest of the shops on the map range from places that have a wide range of great beer to places that I have not been to but have heard get solid selections.

Note: Spec's and HEB were not included on this map. Most Spec's will have a solid selection, but check the dates on them. HEBs can be hit or miss, depending on the neighborhood. I left HEB Mueller on solely because it always has a good selection.
