Austin is famous for its beer, and Portland, Oregon is no slouch with over 100 breweries and nearly weekly beer festivals. If you’ve ever dreamed of heading to the great Northwest on beer safari, book this unique beer inspired cottage for your next getaway: The Brewmaster’s Cottage.

Craft beer veteran, Teri Fahrendorf, is not only the Founder of Pink Boots Society and an award-winning Brewmaster, she’s secretly dabbled in architectural and interior design… in her Brewmaster’s Cottage. Teri says, “I designed the space and created the eight beer-themed stained-glass windows myself.”

This “cottage” is a two-story half-size home, completely on-theme with beer and beer ingredient art. The super quiet location has a private front patio, rear “secret garden” and off-street parking. Located near Portland’s newest up-and-coming neighborhood, St Johns, and Portland’s most beautiful and photographed bridge, with Forest Park and its 80 miles of hiking trails across that bridge.

Amenities include a King bed master suite with walk-in closet and balcony, two bathrooms with heated-tile floors, a full kitchen with gas range, washer-dryer, unique murphy Queen hide-a-bed desk with a TV that doubles as a laptop monitor, Roku, and WiFi, all tucked into an 800-square foot tiny home. Add in two bikes with locks and helmets, and you’re ready to explore.

The photos on the website and the virtual tour do not do it justice. Be sure to notice the mini-grand foyer with tiny crystal chandelier, hand-painted hop archway, custom hop tiles and glowing green hop pendant lights in the kitchen, and amply supplied bookcase full of local travel guides and beer books. Another feature is the downstairs bathroom: Teri says, “I decoupaged the walls with pages from the Comic Book of Beer; you can learn beer history just sitting on the loo.”

It’s not too early to plan a Portland beer-cation you’re sure to remember!
