Fire & Ice Pizza Bar Opens in North Austin Delivering Artisan Pizza, Craft Beer and Creative Cocktails
(AUSTIN, TX) — Fast-casual eatery Fire & Ice Pizza Bar has opened its doors for business in the North Austin suburb of Round Rock, Texas. The modern, family-friendly restaurant specializes in thin crust, artisan pizzas, fresh salads, toasted hoagies and more, and also features a full bar serving Texas craft beer and unique, handcrafted cocktails.
Fire & Ice Pizza Bar delivers the perfect combination of comfort, cool and cutting edge with everything made in-house. The restaurant’s expansive menu was created by owner and executive chef Darryl Meadows, a Le Cordon Bleu alumnus, who previously worked in recipe development for Snap Kitchen.
Fire & Ice’s signature pizzas are hand-tossed and feature a thin crust, firm blistered edge and chewy interior. Standouts include the Urban Cowboy ($10.25 personal / $17.50 large), topped with Italian meatballs, pepperoni, marinated tomatoes, red onion and garlic; Kickin’ Chicken ($10.25 personal / $17.50 large), with olive oil, chicken, bacon, red onion and house-made “Almost Famous” hot sauce; The Godfather ($10.25 personal / $17.50 large), featuring Alfredo sauce, chicken, fresh spinach and basil, bacon and Parmesan; El Diablo ($11.50 personal / $19.50 large) topped with pepperoni, chorizo, marinated tomatoes, jalapeño, red pepper flakes and fresh cilantro and Upper Crust ($12.75 personal / $19.50 large) with basil pesto, spinach, artichoke, Roma tomatoes, Feta cheese, fresh basil and Kalamata olives. Patrons also have the option to build their own pies, choosing from Fire & Ice’s wide selection of house-made sauces and fresh toppings.
Starters at Fire & Ice Pizza Bar include Garlic Twists ($4.95), hand-woven with garlic-infused olive oil, Parmesan and served with tangy marinara; Fiery Fried Pickles ($6.95), spicy, hand-breaded pickle chips served with house ranch dressing, and Badass Nachos ($9.95), fried wontons topped with house Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, whole milk Mozzarella, banana peppers, Roma tomatoes, black olives and jalapeños. Fresh salads, toasted hoagies and a mouth-watering mélange of creatively-flavored chicken wings round out the fit for a king food menu (see full menu here). In addition to an impressive array of rotating Craft Beer taps (12 taps) from both Texas and national brewers, Fire & Ice’s specialty cocktail list includes unique selections such as the Caprese Martini ($9), made with basil-infused Tito’s vodka and vermouth, garnished with fresh Mozzarella, tomato and basil; Puller In ($7), served on the rocks with Bulleit burbon and peach tea; The Two Step ($9), with Jameson Irish whiskey and Angry Orchard cider, Texas Margarita ($9), made with Espolón tequila, Grand Marnier, fresh-squeezed lemon, lime and orange juices and agave nectar, and the Fire & Ice Mule ($8), which cleverly combines Monopolova vodka, Maine Root ginger beer, fresh lime juice and rosemary.
