Family Business Brewing Co. in Dripping Springs, Texas (just West of Austin in beautiful Hill Country) is seeking a motivated and focused Cellarperson/Packaging Technician who takes pride in the quality of the product that they help produce and is confident in their ability to process and package beer.

The ideal candidate will be willing and excited to learn and grow with us. Currently a part-time position that can transition to full-time if desired. This is a great opportunity for a hardworking and self-motivated individual to learn alongside our head brewer, taproom and sales staff to develop/advance a career in the craft beer industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee cold side/cellar including (but not limited to) QA, dry hopping/adjunct additions, carbonating and transferring product
Learn to operate, clean, maintain and diagnose problems with our Wild Goose packaging line.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including but not limited to tank CIP, cleaning floors, drains and outside surfaces of tanks
Maintain and clean draft lines
Safe and meticulous chemical handling, etc.
Setup and preparation on canning line as well as pack down
Operating keg washer
Ensure a safe working environment at all times
Continuously expanding beer and brewing knowledge

Qualifications:

Able to complete tasks without supervision.
Adhere to SOP’s and Safety Procedures
Canning experience is highly beneficial, but not required
Knowledge of the brewing process and beer flaws

Experience:

Experience in cellaring and packaging is valued but willing to train a motivated candidate.

Physical Requirements:

Consistently lift and carry 55 pounds. Occasionally lift/roll 165 pounds.
Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, kneeling, and reaching.
Must be able to stand for an entire shift.
Safely work with hot, cold, and hazardous materials and equipment.

Job Type: Part Time 30-35 hr/wk (possibility of Full Time if desired)

Compensation: $17+/hr DOE + Benefits stipend

Schedule:

6-8 hour shifts Monday to Friday
Willingness and ability to work varied hours
Represent FBBC at outside events and festivals

Ability to commute:

Reliably commute to work – 40 min West from Central Austin
