Well, I missed another week. Not due to laziness this time, but just due to there only being 30 or so last week…and felt it would be better just to leave them for another week. With that said, we seem to have been overloaded with keg approvals from brewpubs this week. Braindead, St. Elmo, El Paso Brewing, along with a couple of newer places like Flying Man. We are also seeing the first can approvals

It’s been a rough week for a big portion of Texas, especially Houston. Many breweries/beer bars around the state are putting on events to help raise money for Houston, I highly recommend you go have some beers for a cause. With that said, here are the label approvals. Not nearly as many approvals as we have been seeing lately. With that said, we had 3 new Texas breweries receiving their licenses from the TABC. It is definitely out of the norm to see that many getting approval in one week. It appears that the TABC has finally gotten their acts together (as far as label approvals go….everything else is still a mess). Hops & Grain received a couple of approvals within 48 hours and St. Elmo had a turnaround on one label of less than 24 hours. Compare this to the beginning of the year….where approvals were taking upwards of 40 days to receive. The good news? It is much easier for breweries to make
