REAL ALE CELEBRATES 20th ANNIVERSARY WITH FANS ACROSS TEXAS

BLANCO, TX – On April 16th, Real Ale is celebrating 20 years of brewing in Texas with their annual Anniversary Party in Blanco. With an anticipated attendance of 2500, the brewery staff is excited to show off an extensive beer list with everything from year-round favorites to rare, barrel-aged specialty beers available on draught all day long (while supplies last). Tickets are on sale now at realalebrewing.com.
The party will also be fans’ first chance to taste Real Ale’s 20th Anniversary Ale, an Imperial Rye IPA. A throwback to the brewery’s first flagship beer, Full Moon Pale Rye – now available in its most recent iteration as Full Moon Rye IPA – the Anniversary Ale combines the unique spiciness of rye with abundant doses of American hops, resulting in a beer bold enough to celebrate 20 great years of brewing. After the party the beer will hit markets throughout Texas on draught and in special edition 22-oz. bombers. Fans can also expect to see a barrel-aged version of the beer in limited quantities later this year.
“Throwing back to our roots with this beer made so much sense. This year is not just about celebrating how long we’ve been here, but also about what we’ve done in that time,” said owner and president Brad Farbstein. “When we started in this industry, putting rye in a beer was unheard of, so we want to pay homage to that original innovation with a beer that makes a statement about how far craft beer has come in that time.”
In addition to producing the special-edition anniversary bomber, every bottled Real Ale beer will feature a 20th anniversary bottle cap starting in April. Fans will notice that the underside of every cap is printed with a different Texas city. With fifty cities available in all, Real Ale will also soon be offering a special limited-edition Texas-shaped bottle cap board for collectors out there.
Anyone who would like to wish Real Ale a Happy Birthday is encouraged to do so on the brewery’s Facebook page, by email, or by sending a birthday card via snail mail. Real Ale will display the messages in the Tap Room all year long and the brewery will pick its favorite birthday messages each month to receive one of the Texas-shaped 20th anniversary bottle cap boards.
