While the numbers are small on this week’s TABC approvals, there were some interesting things showing up. First, there are two new breweries getting approvals. DFW’s Hopfusion received their first approvals – which they already went on tap at a bar on the very first day they received it. So, you should start seeing them around DFW immediately. Then we have Kerrville’s Pint and Plow. Both received approvals for only kegs for the time being.
Sierra Nevada started receiving approvals for all of their Beer Camp beers. This year features Austin Beerworks on one of the beers. I do not know when the expected arrival time for that is.
For brewery approvals, two more solid choices are going to start distributing into Texas. Gigantic Brewing, out of Portland, and Coop Ale Works, out of Oklahoma, both received their approvals to begin selling in Texas. On the Texas front, Eureka Heights (Houston) and Legal Draft (Arlington) also received permits to start brewing.
