TABC Label and Brewery Approvals August 9 2015

There are a lot of TABC approvals this week. It is probably partly my fault the list is longer than it should, but partly I blame the TABC. Some have been slipping through, so I have thrown them on the end of this list. I don’t think this will happen in the future, but we shall see (now that I am keeping an eye out for it).

You will also notice a large amount of German breweries getting approvals. I do not quite know what is happening there either, but they are all coming through the same person/company. So, someone really likes German beers and is bringing a lot of new ones into Texas.

Along with all of that, there are a lot of repeats on this list. Meaning breweries that are getting what seem like duplicate approvals. For example, Founders and SanTan. Most of the beers have been already approved in the format that they are getting approved in again, but there is probably some slight change in the bottles/cans. Nothing really too interesting there (as far as the small changes).

With that said, we also have some new cans from Texas Ale Project and Oak Highlands – both DFW breweries. There are bombers of an Imperial Pumpkin Bourbon Porter from Strange Land. And not to forget the Barrel Aged stuff from 5 Stones. All in all, a solid week for approvals.
