The clear place to start here is that the first Cantillon is TABC approved. With that said, expect 3 more to be approved in the near future. They seemed to have gotten caught up in the TABC approval for longer than most just due to inconsistent ABV testing (or so I have heard). Either way, the first one is through, there are more coming.
Guadalupe Brewing (New Braunfels) seems to be starting to put out some interesting stuff. I have only been able to visit their brewery once but have enjoyed almost everything they have put out so far. So, seeing more randomness from them is only a good thing.
As for the Houston scene, Spindle Tap has recently opened their doors and is now getting their first cans approved. Freetail is also looking at new can designs.
