TABC Label and Brewery Approvals September 10 2015

You may have noticed that the TABC label approvals skipped a week last week. It happens, there was just nothing that came through for approvals.

However, there was a brewery that was approved last week, and it is a great one. AleSmith is now approved in Texas. While we will likely not get a lot of their barrel aged offerings, their standard Speedway Stouts is one of the best stouts around. It goes along with their great lineup of barleywines and IPAs.

Braindead also received their first approvals for any form of distribution. I am unsure if this is meant for distribution to bars, or just distribution to festivals. My guess is that it will be mainly so they can serve at festivals.

There were a lot of German cans approved as well – all of which are coming in 16.9oz cans. I do not have a lot of information on these, but most of the breweries they are coming from received mass brewery approvals a month or so back.

Alpine also received a bottle approval for one of their beers, and Evil Twin, as well as Stillwater, received some more label approvals.
