Love it or hate it, it’s the time of year where the city of Austin gets overtaken by music fans from all over the country during the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival. After pivoting to a virtual event last year due to the pandemic, the festival returns to Zilker Park with additional safety measures in place. Of note, you do need to show your vaccine card, not a picture of it, or show a negative COVID-19 test, not a home version, in order to gain entry. Clear bags and masks are also on the requirements list this year.

Unfortunately, the one thing that hasn’t changed this year is the local craft beer selection. In 2018, Karbach Brewing, owned by Anheuser Busch’s Brewers Collective, took over most of the selections in the Barton Springs Beer Hall, and that will be the case again this year.

However, there are still a handful of craft beer selections that will be available in the Beer Hall, among them a few Austin favorites, but be prepared to pay exorbitant prices this year with pints going for $11 and $12 each. Breweries will have representatives on-site each day for beer tastings, so be sure to visit the Barton Creek Beer Hall and snag your free sample!
