Are you a huge fan of craft beer? Have you ever wondered what it is like to brew alongside a professional brewer & produce a delicious product you can enjoy & be crazy proud of? Beerburg Brewing is offering JUST THAT! Trevor Nearburg, Owner & Brewer is hosting an innovative virtual home brewing experience that is sure to kick the blues of Covid19.

The virtual brew will consist of ingredients specially foraged from Beerburg’s land. In case you hadn’t heard, Beerburg Brewing is extremely focused on producing beer sustainably through permaculture & wildcrafting. Nearburg will host weekly zoom sessions to walk participants through each step & provide any troubleshooting throughout the process. Included is an exclusive socially distant personal tour of the property, which Beerburg is considering their “virtual field trip.” No matter what your experience or exposure to brewing has been, you can join in this fun initiative.

Here’s a rundown of what you’ll be signing up for per Beerburg’s Eventbrite Instructions:

Kit No. 1 | Ashe Juniper Pale Ale

The Brew Kit Includes: 1. All ingredients 2. Special weekly access to Zoom instructions and virtual events. (Not available to the public.) 3. For any additional equipment, they have partnered with SOCO Home Brew Supply.

Brewing Schedule

Saturday July 25th | Pick-Up Kit

Come out to Beerburg Brewing Company between 12 pm – 8 pm to pick-up your local & foraged brewing ingredients. If you want to stay & enjoy Beerburg beer, please reserve a table to keep safety measures in place due to COVID-19. There is limited seating.

Sunday, July 26th | Brew Day

Join us on Zoom to participate in the virtual brew day. Trevor will guide you through the process, listen to your input & will answer any questions. There will be plenty of down time so be sure to chill some beers to pour while discussing the finer things in life with all your brew buddies.

Sunday, August 2nd | Troubleshooting & Overview Day

This will be a day dedicated to making sure all is going correctly and allots for any additional questions to help with home brewing and ingredients involved.

Sunday, August 9th | Bottling Day (Week 3)

Plan on bottling up your blissful suds & preparing to rest up the next handful of weeks.

Sunday, August 16th | Field Trip! (Week 4)

Join in on a behind the scenes tour with a partnered purveyor to learn the quality ingredients included in your recipe and who you’re supporting locally while your beer is naturally carbonating. Trevor will visit the facility & tune you in via Zoom where you will have access to cool information & ask questions.

Sunday, August 23rd | Virtual Nature Walk (Week 5)

Get up close & personal with Trevor to see how to forage for the proper ingredients that bring great taste to the beer. Learn how to retrieve it without harming other vegetation, determine how to avoid poisonous options & seasonal items to look for. This may be virtual but it will definitely give you a great advantage when you’re staying at home in your own comfort zone.

Sunday, August 30th | Poppin’ Bottles Happy Hour (Week 6)

YOU deserve to celebrate! Plan on sharing life stories, future experiments, & the good & the bad that may have come over the past six weeks. This happy hour will happen over Zoom to keep safety first AND share endless laughs over a delicious beer!
