Looking to stock your fridge? Sure, you could pick up a decent 6 pack at any grocery or convenience store nowadays, but if you’re a reader of Craft Beer Austin then you likely have more specific tastes in beer. Below is our list of the 10 Best Bottle Shops in Central Texas based on quality, variety, and freshness.

| Bottle Shop | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| WhichCraft Tap Room & Bottle Shop | We all know WhichCraft - the popular bottle shop in Central Austin has a gigantic wall of craft singles, along with a taplist featuring beers that you can't find anywhere else. And sandwiches. | 1900 Simond Ave #200, Austin, TX 78723 |
| The Brewtique | Their massive beer selection is split between the long wall of refrigerators and the shelves of singles across the room. There's picnic tables and pinball for on site consumption, or you can mix a pack to go. | 401 Cypress Creek Road #100, Cedar Park, TX 78613 |
| Ant's Beer Cave | Ant's Beer Cave may not read as a bottle shop at first, considering the large pickleball court that takes up half the taproom. But a quick look into the fridge will show that they're taking this seriously, with a well curated and organized selection of breweries from Texas and out of state. | 440 E St Elmo Rd E-2, Austin, TX 78745 |
| Neighborhood Bottle Shoppe | This brand new shoppe in Taylor is bringing a much needed influx of craft beer to Williamson County. They have high quality craft cans and large format wild ales, and recommendations are available from the knowledgeable and friendly owners. Be sure to follow this one on the socials for daily updates on their new stock. | 120 W 2nd St Suite g, Taylor, TX 76574 |
| Bastrop Beer Company | The final "true" bottle shop on this list is in Bastrop. Despite the name, they are not a brewery (though there are 2 breweries down the street). Instead, they have a wide selection of craft beers from across the country, a lot of arcade and pinball machines, and a really long bar. | 1008 Main St, Bastrop, TX 78602 |
| H-E-B (Mueller, South Congress, and Lake Austin) | Not all H-E-Bs are created equal. Historical Austin wisdom was that Mueller had the best singles selection in town; but as the chain expands, they're putting a lot of effort into their newer properties. The fancy stores at SoCo/Oltorf and Lake Austin have just as good, if not better selections than Mueller nowadays. | 1801 E 51st St, Austin, TX 78723, 2400 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704, 2652 Lake Austin Blvd, Austin, TX 78703 |
| Beer Geek | Moving into the convenience store section of this list, we have Beer Geek, which is large enough to not really count as one. Huge selection and a walk in fridge for even more, plus they have taps for growler fills or on site pours. Just keep an eye on the can dates, as their singles may not turn over as often. | 2051 W Farm to Market 1626, Manchaca, TX 78652 |
| Sunrise Mini Mart (Anderson Ln) | No surprises here, Sunrise has been known as a top spot for many years. Expect the same quality craft beers that the dedicated bottle shops have, plus fuel. | 1809 W Anderson Ln., Austin, TX 78757 |
| Cork & Brew Market | Only open for a few years, Cork & Brew is a newer convenience store in South Austin. Along with the usual craft, the fridge on the left usually has an interesting selection of international bottles, and some unusual farmhouse ales. | 2700 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704 |
| East 1st Grocery | Sometimes you walk into a gas station convenience store, and there's a bunch of 15 year old bombers on the shelf. Go treasure hunting at East 1st Grocery (they have fresh cans too). | 1811 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702 |
