That sums it up, so here is Craft Beer Austin's list of Austin's 10 best craft beer bars.

Beer Bar | Why | Where |
---|---|---|
Bangers Sausage House & Beer Garden | Over 200 beers on tap. It also has great, homemade brats and sausage and an amazing beer garden. Go quickly before it gets bulldozed for another Rainey high rise. | 79 Rainey St |
Billy's on Burnet | Billy Forrester is firmly on the Mount Rushmore of Austin Beer and his place always has a great selection of local taps. It has a great dive bar feel with one of the most underrated burgers in town. | 2105 Hancock Dr |
The Brass Tap Round Rock | I know. It's a chain. However, this location does an amazing job of curating a great list that always has something to surprise any beer aficionado. It is also in a great location on Main St in Round Rock. | 204 E. Main St |
Burnet Go To | Burnet Go To inhabits the space where The Growler Room used to live. It is a smaller, but great tap room with a very well curated list of local and national craft taps. It's also very much a soccer bar, so go watch EPL with a good beer. | 6800 Burnet Rd |
Crown & Anchor Pub | If you know, you know. This is the single best non-pretentious burger in town. They have a good tap wall and a great beer cooler selection. Consider this one a Longhorn homer pick. Hook 'em! | 2911 San Jacinto Blvd. |
Draught House Pub & Brewery | Draught House is an Austin institution since 1995. Now, they also brew their own beer and have 74 taps. The patio is unique and has evolved a lot over the years. The dank, dark interior just feels like the perfect place to grab a pint. | 4112 Medical Pkwy |
Easy Tiger South Lamar | Easy Tiger has several great locations. The 6th St location was legendary, but the South Lamar location has quickly become a personal favorite. Great tap wall, generally with stronger offerings. The greenbelt deck view is amazing and "apparently" they also have a bakery that is top notch. | 3508 S Lamar |
Hopfields | For an amazing, quaint French gastropub experience, Hopfields is in a league of its own. They have amazing well selected beer that fits their unique atmosphere and brand. The location has a cottage feel that is inviting and friendly. | 3110 Guadalupe |
Mort Subite | Every true beer city must have a Belgian beer bar and Mort Subite is a great representative of that culture for Austin. 24 unique taps and over 40 bottle offerings provide an experience that can not be found anywhere else in the city. | 308 Congress |
Turnstile Coffee Beer and Spirits | Go in the morning for amazing coffee, stay for lunch and have an incredible burger and a beer from the extremely well selected tap wall, and then hang out and have a nightcap with one of the best curated whisky and cocktail selections in town. Turnstile is a personal favorite, find me there most days. | 10025 Burnet Rd |
