Covid-19 has affected us all by this time. Whether it is through work, daily routines, or even as small as just meeting up with friends at a local brewery, our lives have all changed. If you have been around the beer industry long enough, you know someone in the hospitality industry who is definitely hurting right now. All Together is a worldwide collaboration that is meant to help support those in the hospitality industry.
All Together is a collaborative beer created by Other Half Brewery out of Brooklyn, New York. It was their idea to create “a worldwide, open-ended beer collaboration created to raise support for the industry we love so much.” They invited any, and all, breweries around the world to participate. The one request? A portion of the proceeds goes to supporting hospitality professionals in their community.

Each brewery is able to choose where the funds go, but, they must go back to your local community. For Example, Vista Brewing is giving a portion of proceeds of each sale towards purchasing meals directly from Hill Country restaurants for their furloughed team members. Jester King is donating to the Southern Smoke Foundation fund. Southern Smoke Foundation provides funding to individuals in the food and beverage industry who are in crisis. The brewery starting this all, Other Half, is donating 100% of its proceeds to the Restaurant Workers Community Foundation.
Sam, Matt, and Andrew from Other Half Brewery state, “at the end of the day, this is about what it’s always been about—community. While we may not be able to come together in person right now, that spirit can never be taken away from us. If we do our part to protect and support each other, that spirit can actually be strengthened. Be safe, be good to one another. We’re all in this together. “
The recipe is meant to be flexible. Brewers can design it as a West Coast IPA or as a New England IPA. Brewers may also add their own take to the recipe. Other Half writes,” We intentionally kept the recipe simple so that every brewer that wants to do it can do it.”
So far, there are 718 breweries participating from 48 states and 51 countries. Below are the 23 breweries in Texas that are participating. Craft Beer Austin will be reaching out to a few of the breweries to learn more specifics about what each brewery is doing for this beer and their community.
