This weekend, breweries from across the state are coming together to raise funds for those affected by last week’s horrific events in Uvalde, Texas. The event is kid and pet friendly and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Robb Hill Elementary Memorial Fund set up by First State Bank of Uvalde. Tickets are not required to attend; however, beer tickets will be available for sale and there will be an auction where you can win a variety of items such as a private movie screening at Alamo Drafthouse, or a private home concert from a Texas musician. Come between 2-3 p. m. take a picture with a World Series Champ Pitcher with a donation to the cause.

“Our tagline says we are a community-focused artisanal craft brewery. Community is in our DNA. It’s what we’re all about.” said Johnny Oliver, Bandera Brewery Co-Owner. “When we heard about what happened in Uvalde, we knew we had to do something to support our neighbors.” The festival even received support from the TABC by expediting the permit process, which can sometimes take up to 10 days. “They were able to do it in two days for this cause. They said they were happy to help us make a successful benefit,” Oliver said. “With TABC’s approval obtained, we started reaching out to local breweries and businesses, and the benefit has continued to grow ever since. We are so grateful to everyone who has reached out, donated their beer, volunteered to work the event, and saved the date on their calendars.”

Area Lodging information can be found here and there will be plenty of parking nearby.
