A local nonprofit called Divine Canines is coordinating an event called “Barks for Beers” that runs for the entire month of May.
Yes, Barks for Beers is back for 2022. Come enjoy the Austin area’s beer scene during the entire month of May, meet fellow dog- and beer-lovers, and toast the tail-waggers that make Divine Canines possible.
They have partnered with 30 of the area’s finest craft breweries for a fun community event for you and your favorite drinking buddies, your dogs!
How it Works:
Purchase the glass and a Pawsport for $30+tax from any of the participating breweries. With a glass and Pawsport in hand, visit these great breweries at any time during the event, which runs from May 1 through May 31, and get a free pour at each location. Proceeds from the sale of the glasses go to Divine Canines and help them keep their training costs as low as possible for the hard-working volunteer teams.

Divine Canines provides free “animal-assisted therapy” to 25 sites in the Austin metro area and there is a waiting list for many more local schools, hospitals, and nursing homes who want their services. The dogs deliver unconditional love, affection, gentle exercise, and companionship thereby promoting physical and emotional wellness.
