Family Business Beer Company Closes Taproom, Keeps Distribution

Family Business Beer Company, the brewery owned by star of Supernatural Jensen Ackles and his family, has announced via social media that they are closing the Dripping Springs taproom temporarily while they search for a taproom location closer to Austin.
The Dripping Springs brewery on Hamilton Pool Rd was founded in 2017, and in 2018 began canning its brews for retail via self-distribution with its small but mighty team. In 2022, the brewery partnered with Real Ale Brewing Co. to broaden distribution. As we reported in January, Family Business laid off staff and halted in-house beer production, continuing to produce Hamilton Pale Ale, Cosmic Cowboy IPA, Spacious Skies American Pilsner, and Golden Age Pilsner through the partnership with Real Ale Brewing Company to continue distribution expansion.
“We’ve positioned ourselves to make a move closer to our target demographic which has always been the local Austin craft beer drinker. Ideally, we find a location that has city water and sewer versus having our production wastewater hauled off for offsite processing.
