In this week’s TABC label and Brewery approvals it looks like Saint Arnold is planning on distributing some of their (up to now) taproom only beers in kegs. There’s a lot of barrel aged goodness in that list. Short but a solid week of things to look froward to. We now have the first De Garde Brewing approval, along with Anthem (Oklahoma) starting to come through. After a month plus hiatus, the TABC has approved two more brewpubs in Austin – Oddwood Ales and The Brewtorium. It is nice to see those approvals start back up again. A couple of nice ones show up on this week’s approvals including ABW’s Heizenberg cans and 1.32 Gallon “can” (vessel?) of Bell’s Oberon. In this week’s TABC label approvals there are a couple new ones from Cali breweries – Knee Deep and Helm’s have received their first label approvals. As for Texas breweries, this is the first approval from Wild Acre (out of Fort Worth) which looks to be going the bottling and kegging route. As for specific beers, the Firestone Walker Barrel Works beer sounds delicious as always. Breckenridge is also coming out with a whiskey barrel aged holiday beer. This

This week, we have one major brewery get approval to come to Texas, Cascade Brewing. This Portland brewery is best known for their great sour beers, which will be another great addition to the shelves of Texas. No word on date of their arrival, as they still all need label approvals, but it will definitely be something to look forward to.
