Pinthouse Pizza Expands to San Antonio with New Brewpub Now Open
Austin brewery brings its signature award-winning beers, handcrafted pizzas, and vibrant beer hall experience to the Landmark North Pad development

San Antonio, TX (March 23, 2026) – Pinthouse, the award-winning Texas craft brewery and #1 largest brewpub by annual brewing volume in the United States, has officially expanded beyond Austin for the first time with the opening of Pinthouse Pizza San Antonio, now open at 5534 N. Loop 1604 W in the Landmark North Pad development. The new 10,800 square foot brewpub will introduce San Antonio to Pinthouse’s acclaimed hop-forward beers, house-made pizzas, and lively beer hall atmosphere built around community, great food, and cult-favorite beers brewed fresh on-site.
The opening marks a major milestone for the Austin-born brewery, significantly expanding its production capabilities while introducing the Pinthouse experience to a new city. The San Antonio brewpub will add approximately 3,500 additional barrels of annual brewing capacity, helping meet growing demand for Pinthouse beers across Central and South Texas.
“Opening in San Antonio is a huge milestone for our team and something we’ve dreamed about for years,” said Kyle Detrick, President of Retail at Pinthouse. “After 13 years of growth in Austin, we’ve seen so many friends from San Antonio make the trip for our beer and pizza, so bringing the full Pinthouse experience here felt like the natural next step. We can’t wait to welcome the community to enjoy fresh beer brewed on-site, our signature pizzas, and a lively space where people can gather over great food and great beer.”

Pinthouse Pizza San Antonio was designed in collaboration with the interior design firm Kim Lewis Design and the architect OPA Design Studio, blending custom millwork and lighting with warm, approachable materials to create a space that feels both distinctive and familiar to longtime Pinthouse fans. The interior centers around an expansive beer hall anchored by a striking brass map installation featuring one-of-a-kind maritime artwork, while communal seating, natural textures, and an open, energetic layout reflect the brand’s laid-back and welcoming spirit.
At the heart of the experience is Pinthouse’s award-winning brewing program. The San Antonio location will debut with at least 18 beers on tap, showcasing a mix of beloved Pinthouse classics like Electric Jellyfish Hazy IPA, Magical Pils, and Burro’s Breakfast Mexican Lager, alongside rotating seasonal releases and small-batch brews crafted on-site. Known for its hop-forward lineup, the brewery has earned national recognition for its hazy IPAs and innovative brewing approach, with fan favorites and limited releases continuing to rotate throughout the year.
“San Antonio has an incredible craft beer community, and we’re thrilled to start brewing here and sharing the beers people already know and love,” said Jacob Passey, VP of Brewing of Pinthouse. “From Electric Jellyfish to small-batch limited-edition releases, this brewpub gives us the space to keep innovating while making fresh beer for a whole new group of Pinthouse fans.”

Alongside the beer program, the kitchen will serve Pinthouse’s signature Austin-style pizzas, made with house dough and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The menu features a mix of classic combinations and inventive specialty pies, including favorites like the Pepperoni & Basil, the meat-packed Cannonball, and The Works, along with creative standouts like the Ooh La La, finished with arugula, spicy honey and peppadew peppers, and the Texas Chicken Ranch with candied jalapeños and jalapeño ranch. Guests can also enjoy shareable starters such as Das Pretzel, beer queso, braised meatballs, and Pizza Rolls, alongside fresh salads, hearty sandwiches like the Italian Grinder and Meatball Sub, and desserts including brownies with Amy’s Ice Cream and classic root beer floats made with Maine Root Soda.
Designed as a place to gather, Pinthouse Pizza San Antonio brings the same high-energy beer hall atmosphere that has made the brand a staple in Austin’s craft beer scene, offering a welcoming, family-friendly environment for everything from casual weeknight dinners to weekend hangouts with friends. Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm, featuring $5 pints of beer (including Electric Jellyfish), $7 glasses of wine, and $5 select appetizers like pretzels and queso. Weekday lunch specials from 11am to 3pm include a 10-inch personal pizza, side salad, and drink for $17.50, as well as additional options like a full salad with a pizza roll or a half Italian sandwich with chips and drink for $12.50, with the option to upgrade to a 16 oz Pinthouse beer for $4.

About Pinthouse
Opened in 2012, Pinthouse was founded by six friends with the goal of becoming a must-visit brewpub in Austin’s quickly growing craft beer scene. What began as a single Central Austin location has grown into multiple destinations across Texas, including locations throughout the Austin area and now San Antonio, known for award-winning brews and handcrafted culinary offerings. Pinthouse was the #1 brewpub by beer barrelage volume in the U.S. in 2024, and its signature Electric Jellyfish was named the #1 beer in the country in 2025. The brewery continues to earn national and statewide recognition, most recently leading the field at the 2026 Texas Craft Brewers Cup with five medals – the most of any brewery in the competition – including Gold for Nose Jelly, Silver for Electric Jellyfish, and Bronze medals for Magical Pils, Scorpion Disco, and Space Terrarium. Pinthouse also added two medals at the 2025 Great American Beer Festival (GABF), with Fleeting Shadows earning Gold in the International Dark Lager category and Hecho En Szechuan receiving Silver in the Herb and Spice Beer category, along with a Gold Medal in the West Coast IPA category with Mosaic Takedown at the 2025 World Beer Cup. The team continues to focus on quality and innovation within its brewing program while serving up the Austin-style pizzas locals have grown to love. For more information, visit pinthouse.com.
