Southpaw brewing announced its closure on social media today after being open for just a few short months. The husband and wife team opened their doors in the middle of the pandemic last August. After years of planning, the Beavans did not expect to open to an empty taproom amid a global pandemic. But that’s exactly what happened and they quickly pivoted to a beer-to-go model. Read the full story of their journey here.

From their social media post:

“It’s bittersweet for us to announce, we have sold @southpawbrewingco and we are now permanently closed. Thank you to those of you who have continued to support us! **If you gifted us any items (pictures, games, decor etc.), and would like them back, please send us a message so we can coordinate returning your items!** Regulars – you will be getting your mugs. Please send us a message.”

The CraftBeerAustin.com team visited them many times and we sincerely wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
