There are some big ones on this week’s TABC releases. I will begin with probably the biggest – Live Oak in cans. Yes, it has been known to be happening for some time, but they now have approval. I doubt we will see them until the new brewery is completed next year, but they are approved and look great.
Whole Foods is starting to distribute their house beers which are brewed at their Houston Post Oak location. I am hoping that it makes it to the Austin locations (which, I am assuming it will based on getting keg approvals). Another newcomer on the Texas scene is Woodcreek. They opened in late July in the growing DFW area and are starting to get keg approvals.
Then there are a couple of Jester King approvals that have yet to be announced. I will leave it to Jester King to explain what those are.
Now, on to the actual approvals. After each label, I have indicated what they have been approved to sell in. They are as follows:
K = Keg
B = Large format bottle
bb = 16oz format bottle
b = Small format bottle
c = Small format (12oz) can
C = Larger format cans
