Texas Craft Brewers Festival is the largest craft beer festival focused solely on Texas brewed beers and is set to kick off this Saturday at Fiesta Gardens. VIP tickets for the event sell out well in advance; however, general admission and designated driver tickets are still on sale. Expect the event to sell out prior to Saturday, as it typically does every year.
So what if you can’t get tickets, but you still want to enjoy the festivities? Or you just want to keep the party going after the festival? Craft Pride has been hosting the Official Afterparty of the Texas Craft Brewers Festival for the past three years. The event is open to the public and will be featuring special releases from over 20 Texas Craft Breweries, including some beers you can’t even get at the festival. I asked General Manager, Anders Dowd, to tell me a little bit about the official after party.
How did the official after party come to fruition?
Being a Texas-only craft beer bar, the partnership with the Texas Craft Brewers Festival seemed like a natural fit. After becoming official sponsors of the festival, we hatched the idea of doing the official afterparty.
Are the special releases offered at the festival?
Some of them will be, but many of the beers are special kegs that we’ve held onto for a while or special things the breweries we reached out to about featuring beer at our event sent specifically for the after party.
