National Beer Day may not be an “official” holiday; however, it is celebrated by beer lovers across the United States every year on April 7th. Why is this date so important to beer lovers you may ask? It’s the date the repeal of prohibition was officially enacted after being singed in the law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933, and to celebrate, people everywhere took to the streets to enjoy a beer. So what better way to celebrate this Sunday than with a cold pint at one of these events around town.
Start your day right with a nice workout, followed by beer with Pints & Poses at Circle Brewing Co. or Vulgar Vinyasa Yoga at Spokesman.
It’s crawfish season and you can get your fix with Friends and Allies Brewing, featuring beer, Austin Eastciders and crawfish, or grab a cold brew at Whistler’s while enjoying their crawfish boil.
Beer + cheese pairing more your thing? Head over to Beer & Cheese: Celebrating National Beer Day with Real Ale Brewing Co. at Antonelli’s Cheese Shop, or for something different, check out River Whey Creamery and The Texas Yeast Lab Collab.
If crafts and shopping are on the agenda, get out to Jester King and shop with the Austin Flea, or make your own National Beer Day craft at Board and Brush.
Combining charity and beer is simply the best. Find your charitable self at one of these events: Clothing Swap benefitting American Gateways at Circle Brewing Co., or HCRA benefit raffle day at Hops & Grain.
