Ants Beer Cave Opens at The Yard

Ants Beer Cave, a new bar/beer garden/pickleball spot, opened last weekend at The Yard between Still Austin Whiskey Co. and MADabolic Fitness, which is two doors down from St. Elmo Brewing Co.

Anthony, founder of Ants Beer Cave, provides background on their website:

For the past 10 years, I have been crafting the vision behind Ants Beer Cave. Initially Ants was meant to be a brewery, but as I delved into the world of brewing and tasted various beers, I began to doubt my ability to compete with the exceptional brews already in the market. That’s when inspiration struck—what if, instead of competing, I brought these top-notch breweries together in one place? Ants Beer Cave follows the bottleshop concept, featuring beverage displays like those in grocery or convenience stores, with a wide selection of bottled beers available for in-store consumption.

With the idea in mind, it was time to start saving. You see, I do not come from a privileged background. My siblings and I were raised by our grandmother, a retired teacher, and where there was so much love in my family, financially things were tight. I realized then that I would have to be the catalyst for my own change. Working tireless hours in corporate America saving every dollar and meticulously planning every detail I finally decided to go for it!

I hope my dream brings you some joy! – Ant

Ants will open with two brand new food trucks on site: Knuckle Sandwich will be serving subs, and The Pizza Den’s got pies.  There will be two pickleball courts on site; reservations are available on their website.

This is looking to be a great addition to The Yard, and we’re excited to make it a frequent destination in the near future!
