Aquabrew Has a New Location

Aquabrew in San Marcos is now open in the location previously occupied by Hops and Grain San Marcos. The move has been in the works for some time and the taproom officially opened last week. More here. They will retain ownership of the old location and turn it into an event space.

Pink Boots Collaboration Brew

The Austin Chapter of Pink Boots Society has been out and about brewing collaboration beers with participating breweries using the Pink Boots Blend by Yakima Chief Hops. Circle Brewing released the first collaboration beer, Pink Velvet IPA, and it’s headed to a store near you. Support women in beer and grab a six-pack or two. Liquid Bake Sale Kicks Off Today

Another creative collaboration from the Texas Craft Brewers Guild, Liquid Bake Sale is a twist on an old school bake sale, but in this case, participating breweries brew a beer of their choice using Texas-grown malt from TexMalt. Today Jester King Brewery released the first beer a Babka-Inspired Imperial Stout with Brioche, Vanilla, Cacao Nibs & Milk Sugar. The Legacy of Pierre Celis

A new book documenting the life and legacy of Pierre Celis, “Celis Beer: Born in Belgium, Brewed in Texas” by San Antonio-based writer Jeremy Banas is now available. Meet Banas, and get your copy of the book signed (books will be available for purchase as well) during a celebration of Pierre Celis’ birthday on March 21 at Celis. This year’s batch of Celis Raspberry will be released.

Barks for Beers Returns!

Divine Canines announced that the popular Barks for Beers annual event will return in 2021. Postponed last year due to the pandemic, the event will take place this year from May 1st to May 31st with 22 participating breweries. Pawsports are $30+tax at any participating brewery, find the list here.

Long-Awaited Round Rock Irish Pub Opens Its Doors

Cork and Barrel Craft Kitchen & Microbrewery opened its sprawling new space to the public this week. Featuring a multi-dimensional beer garden, microbrewery, bar, and craft kitchen, it’s sure to be a hit with a fusion of authentic Irish pub meets Central Texas hospitality.  Read more about the opening here.

Hop Culture Magazine Presents Juicy Brews Digital Festival

Last year, I was fortunate enough to attend Hop Culture Magazine’s Beers With(out) Beards virtual craft beer festival which came with a huge box full of beers from around the country.
