It seems like an almost weekly thing to see new Real Ale Mysterium Verum approvals show up now. Sputnik cans were obviously approved, as well, and are showing up on this week’s list. But, they are likely already sold out. New Texas cans in this week’s TABC approvals include a new Real Ale offering, along with the release of 4th Tap’s Brick Top (event is happening at the classy Barfly’s tonight for it). Also, we are starting to see more of the Friends & Allies canned offerings (still looking like next year before any of them hit the shelves). As far as new breweries for this week’s TABC label and brewery approvals, we are starting to see Tractor Brewing out of New Mexico getting approvals. On the Texas front, Treaty Oak Brewing is finally coming online. Expect to start seeing their beers around Austin in the next week. Shorter week than normal, so not nearly as many TABC label and brewery approvals (these approvals go from 11/24-11/30, so they include the Thanksgiving days off at the TABC). Circle is continuing to receive more approvals for their newly designed cans and Jester King’s Spon is on here as well…..but do not get your hopes up for anything more than beer dinners and festivals. In this week’s TABC label and brewery approval, the numbers dropped compared to the last couple of weeks. I do find one label as an odd one to be putting out, which would be by Elysian. Elysian (owned by Anheuser Busch) received approval for their Loser beer with the slogan “Corporate Beer Still Sucks” on it. I just find that sorta humorous that they would bother still having that on there after the buyout. This

For this week’s TABC label and brewery approvals Wicked Weed is coming in strong. Eleven new label approvals for them including their collaboration with Jester King, Red Atrial. No tentative date on when we can expect to see these, but I am guessing we will eventually be able to buy Red Atrial at Jester King. Probably the biggest news on this week’s TABC label and brewery approvals is that Cigar City has received approvals to sell in Texas. There have been a lot of rumors/labels floating around that Cigar City is going to make beer at the Oskar Blues location in Austin, but this news is slightly different than that. This approvals is for all Cigar City beer that is made at the Tampa Cigar City brewery. So, pending label

California’s Coronado Brewing is coming in strong this week. These are the first beers that they have gotten approved in Texas to sell here. Along with them, Pflugerville’s Idle Vine Brewery has also received label approvals for the first time. Real Ale Brewing has started receiving approvals (again) for their Mysterium Verum series bottles. These are likely minor changes to the labels as these have all been approved in the past.
