Celis Brewery, Austin’s First Craft Brewery is Now Open

  Christine Celis, daughter of Pierre Celis is restoring her fathers legacy in Austin Texas. Pierre Celis revived the Belgian Wit beer in Hoegaarden Belgium in 1966. In 1992, at age 67, Pierre founded Celis Brewery in Austin on Highway 290 (it closed in 2000). Celis White and Grand Cru won many GABF medals together.
