Beer Data and Statistics
It appears that the TABC has finally gotten their acts together (as far as label approvals go….everything else is still a mess). Hops & Grain received a couple of approvals within 48 hours and St. Elmo had a turnaround on one label of less than 24 hours. Compare this to the beginning of the year….where approvals were taking upwards of 40 days to receive. The good news? It is much easier for breweries to make […]

Well, another Friday came and went without the weekly label releases being put up on Craft Beer Austin. I am sure at least one person noticed other than me. Simple reason – I was out of town yet again. With that said, due to a busy late week schedule as of late, we are going to move the label release article to Tuesdays. There are a couple of reasons for it, but most of which […]
For this week’s TABC label approvals it looks like Spindletap may have plans for their Houston Haze to hit some level of distribution since they received approvals for those cans. Other than that, we have a new beer from Celis and the first approvals from Abilene’s Sockdolager. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format bottle b = Small format bottle c = Small format (12oz) […]
So, it has been 3 weeks since the latest TABC label and brewery approval. Part of that is to do with me being out of town for two Fridays in a row, and also part of it was due to laziness. With that said, here are the last 3 week’s worth of approvals. A lot of these will have already been released (since I took so damn long to put this out). On the bright […]

It seems like the TABC dropped the ball last week and did not update their label database for approvals. It took them about 10 days to post anything new. With that said, they ended up updating it, so there are about two weeks worth of approvals on here. We now have the first of Celis beers to be approved (their launch parties are in Austin starting next week). This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = […]
After a week of around 250 label approvals, the TABC comes back and gives us around 50 showing up over the last 7 days. I guess that should be expected. So many damn approvals this week. This has to to be up there with one of the most that I have seen show up in one week. With that said, a lot of them are just in kegs. We do have some new cans from places like HopFusion, Double Horn, and Bearded Fox. All relatively newcomers onto the scene for cans. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb […]
In this week’s TABC label and brewery approvals we have new label approvals for 4th Tap, Blue Owl, Friends And Allies, Lone Pint, Oskar Blues, South Austin, Whitestone, Zilker & more. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format bottle b = Small format bottle c = Small format (12oz) can cc = 16oz format can C = Larger […]
