The Craft Beer Austin team is starting a new monthly series to inform our readers of our current favorite beers in and around Austin.  So without further ado and in no specific order, here are the CBA Staff Picks for March 2020:

Andrew

Nomadic | Peak Season | Hazy IPA

From one of my favorite new breweries in South Austin. Nothing overly crazy, just a solid offering from some good people. It’s too bad I live in North Austin, so I can’t visit as much.

Dani

Southern Heights | Tahitian Dreamin | Hazy IPA

It is an easy, tropical and very refreshing beer. (I’m bad at words and don’t know what else to say. It’s what I drink every Thursday because I like it. 😄)

Pam

Austin Beerworks | Three Tears | American Pale Ale

It’s an APA with citrus notes that is slightly herbal and aromatic featuring Sabro hops. I stop in at least once a week and it’s always fun to see what new things they are cooking up. Currently, this is my favorite offering.

Adelbert’s | Flyin’ Monks | Quadrupel

For some unknown and unexplainable reason, I had not been to Adelbert’s in a few months. It is a mistake I won’t make again.  Flyin’ Monks is everything that I like about beer.  Belgian influenced beers have always had a special place for me and this one is at the top of the game.  Per their site, Flyin’ Monks is conditioned on oak cubes used by Spirit of Texas Distilleries to age their Pecan Street Rum.  All I know is it’s a big beer, that is strong and complex and checks most of the boxes of what I enjoy in a beer.

See us at the end of March for the staff picks for April!
