National Independent Beer Run Day kicks off again this year on July 3rd.

“Ahead of summer’s biggest holiday, Independence Day, the Brewers Association—the not-for-profit trade association dedicated to small and independent American brewers— is coordinating the third annual National Independent Beer Run Day alongside craft breweries nationwide,” per the press release.

Austin area breweries are still recovering from the impacts of COVID-19, as we’ve seen with the recent closure of more breweries. It’s important now more than ever to get out and support your favorite local breweries. Plus, we know all you beer lovers want to stock up ahead of the busy holiday weekend!

How?

  1. Visit any of these Central Texas breweries.
  2. Stock up your beer fridge with beer-to-go from any local brewery.
  3. Make a beer run and purchase independent craft beer from one of these local bottleshops.

While you are making your beer runs, don’t forget to check in with the Texas Brewery Passport and get your Austin Ale Trail passport stamped.

Also, feel free to grab these cool graphics to spice up your photos and use the hashtags #BeerRunDay and #LocalBeerIsBetter and tag Independent Beer on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

According to the Brewers Association, “craft breweries are community-minded small businesses who merit and need support, and drinking beer made by an independent brewer is important to 77% of craft drinkers. As beer lovers emerge from shutdowns, supporting local breweries is as easy and important as ever.” ⁣
