Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day®

Women and non-binary individuals work in all aspects of the alcohol and fermentable beverage industry from owners to packaging, cellaring, sales, and taproom management. The Pink Boots Society (PBS) was established for industry professionals to assist, inspire, and encourage women and non-binary individuals to advance their careers through education, and it is an international nonprofit and USA tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization.

Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day® (CBD) is an international celebration where PBS members from around the world team up to brew with participating beverage partners to raise funds for Pink Boots scholarships that support the professional development and education of women in the industry. Collaboration Brew Days are the largest annual fundraiser for the non-profit organization.

To prepare for the annual brew days each year, PBS members collaborate with Yakima Cheif Hops (YCH) to select an annual hop blend recipe. For the 7th annual blend, YCH sent selection kits to several chapters across the world and then chose the final blend at the annual Pink Boots Hop Rub at the Great American Beer Festival. A new blend was born through an extensive collaboration process with the help of YCH’s talented sensory team.

The 7th Annual Pink Boots Blend consists of Ahtanum®, El Dorado®, HBC 638 and Idaho 7® with an expected brewing value of 12.5% alpha and expected aromas of berry, citrus, stone fruit, and tropical.

The Pink Boots Society invites you to join the industry-wide movement of empowering women in beer by hosting your own Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day®! Each year, on or around International Women’s Day, breweries worldwide host their celebratory brew days using the blend.
