Celebrate Texas Independence Day with Indy Brewing
This weekend Independence Brewing is celebrating Texas Independence Day with Brews and Boots this Saturday, March 2 featuring a Texas-themed fashion show with prizes, music by DJ Gross Yall followed by a live music lineup, a lasso station, vendors, and more.
Local Brewery Celebrates International Women’s Day
Central Machine Works will host a panel discussion on Representation and Gender Equity in the Beverage Business with some of the industry’s top female founders, makers, and executives on International Women’s Day, next Friday, March 8 starting at 6:30 p.m. The discussion will be followed by the release of Pink Boots Society’s 2024 Collaboration Brew, a hoppy saison.
Festival Season is in Full Swing
The Spring festival season is upon us with six unique craft beer festivals across the Austin area, including the upcoming Pinvitational Craft Beer Fest. Beer Tripping in the Hill Country
ATX Beer Bus and the Austin Ale Trail took us on a wild ride this past weekend to visit several hill country breweries. We started at the legendary Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. where we enjoyed gold medal beers and heard from Amos himself. Next up was Fitzhugh Brewing where Nathan specializes in award-winning beer styles from around the world. Then on to the English-style ales at Acopon where we heard from owners Dave and John. And finally, a brewery tour at Ghost Note Brewing where we mingled with owners Kenny and Thelma while enjoying more award-winning beers.
EIGHT Beer Expands to Oklahoma
EIGHT Brewing Co. announced its EIGHT Elite Light Lager is now available in Oklahoma. EIGHT launched in Texas in 2022 and will be available in bars and restaurants as well as retailers in traditional 6-packs, 12-packs, 24-packs and 19.2oz single-serve cans. “I’m proud to bring EIGHT to Oklahoma – this is light beer made right,” said Aikman. “There’s nothing like EIGHT on the market, which is exactly why we chose to create it.”
Texas Craft Brewers Cup Winners Announced
Celebrating its first year in 2022, the Texas Craft Brewers Cup is the premiere professional beer competition run and organized by The Texas Craft Brewers Guild to showcase the outstanding quality and variety of Texas craft beer and the brewers that make them. The awards ceremony was held on the evening of Saturday, February 17 read the full list of winners here.
