4th Tap Brewing Co-op Files Bankruptcy This article has been updated to note that the brewery is permanently closed. On July 20, 4th Tap Brewing Cooperative filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy after several difficult years operating during a pandemic while facing rising rent costs. Unlike chapter 11, which prompts internal restructuring, chapter 7 indicates a liquidation of assets. The brewery was established in 2015 and has been a fixture in the North Austin beer scene
