Beer Data and Statistics
For this week’s TABC label and brewery approvals Wicked Weed is coming in strong. Eleven new label approvals for them including their collaboration with Jester King, Red Atrial. No tentative date on when we can expect to see these, but I am guessing we will eventually be able to buy Red Atrial at Jester King. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format bottle b = Small […]
Probably the biggest news on this week’s TABC label and brewery approvals is that Cigar City has received approvals to sell in Texas. There have been a lot of rumors/labels floating around that Cigar City is going to make beer at the Oskar Blues location in Austin, but this news is slightly different than that. This approvals is for all Cigar City beer that is made at the Tampa Cigar City brewery. So, pending label […]
California’s Coronado Brewing is coming in strong this week. These are the first beers that they have gotten approved in Texas to sell here. Along with them, Pflugerville’s Idle Vine Brewery has also received label approvals for the first time. Real Ale Brewing has started receiving approvals (again) for their Mysterium Verum series bottles. These are likely minor changes to the labels as these have all been approved in the past. This week’s TABC Label […]
This TABC approval list is substantially longer than last week’s list. First, we have some newcomers on here. Thousand Oak Brewing (Cedar Park) and Manhattan Beer Project (DFW) both have started receiving their first label approvals (both in kegs). On the Austin side, there are a couple of new beers being released from Independence, Thirsty Planet, and Zilker. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format […]
Well, you will get a good feeling at what Bell’s is planning on sending to Texas in this week’s TABC label approvals. A little bit of everything (yet no Hopslam yet). Granted, we likely won’t see these until April, so Hopslam (if it did come) would likely be even further out. And Künstler Brewing (used to go by San Antonio Brewing Company) received their brewpub license. It looks like they already have tanks in place, […]
The first of the Bell’s Brewery beer is starting to show up. Granted, we will still not be seeing it until (likely) April of next year. Along with that, we have a couple more Wicked Weed bottles getting approvals. I am guessing they will be equally hard to get as the last ones. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format bottle b = Small format […]
Nothing too crazy on this week’s TABC label and brewery approvals. We do have Lakewood barrel aging a Pilsner and Berliner Weisse. Along with a couple more Cascade approvals, it appears Sam Adams is updating a bunch of their labels. I am guessing we will see a lot more of those come through in the upcoming weeks. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format bottle […]
Sigma, a brewery who has their official opening at the end of this month in Houston, is currently winning on the number of labels approved before opening. After this week, it brings their total up to 27 different approvals. That may not seem like a lot for a brewery that has been open for some time, but to have that many different beers in the works before opening? This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = […]
This looks like a much more productive week for the TABC label approvals. After last week, we had an approval for Oskar Blues BA Ten Fidy that was an Austin can. This week, we have approval for the CO version of the can. We will be seeing the CO distribution of this beer, but the Austin facility will not be making (at least for this year). Along with that, Lakewood has a new BA Barleywine […]
A short week means quite a few less TABC labels approved. With that said, Oskar Blues has been busy getting all of their future Austin made beers approved. Do not expect to see the Austin made Barrel Aged Ten Fidy in stores any time soon (I do not believe they even have barrels yet) but it is nice to know that it will exist. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle […]
A solid week of TABC label and brewery approvals here. It includes some new Texas cans, another Bruery bottle, Oskar Blue’s long awaited keg approvals (they can now serve beer on tap at the taproom), among others. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format bottle b = Small format bottle c = Small format (12oz) can cc = 16oz format can C = Larger format […]
TABC label and brewery approvals seemed to be slow going all week, but, we have a new brewery starting getting approvals called Sound Brewery (out of Washington). They apparently make a Mortal Kombat based series. This week’s TABC Label Approvals: K = Keg B = Large format bottle bb = 16oz format bottle b = Small format bottle c = Small format (12oz) can cc = 16oz format can C = Larger format can Avery […]
